  • Sessions can be In-Person, via Telehealth or Hybrid. Sessions are typically 45 minutes and occur weekly for most patients starting out.

  • 3-5 weekly therapy sessions for patients with significant difficulty functioning that are looking to accelerate progress. Session length can range from 45 minutes to 90 minutes. Can be an appropriate alternative to partial and inpatient hospitalizations for some patients.

  • Mental training and focus is just as important as physical training for elite athletic performance. Skills based training is provided to cultivate thinking, feeling and behaving that is conducive for maximizing athletic performance.

  • Clinical training and supervision is available and is focused on enhancing competence delivering evidence-based therapy with a particular focus on Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). We are willing to supervise doctoral students and early career licensed therapists.

  • Available to utilize psychological expertise to help legal teams understand competence of psychological care, appropriateness for disability compensation/workers compensation and general mental fitness of individuals.

  • CBT is the most researched and empirically validated therapy in the world. It has strong effectiveness for most mood and anxiety disorders and various other mental health problems.. It can be as effective, or even more effective, than most other forms of therapy or medication.

  • ACT is considered a newer form of CBT that utilizes skills such as mindfulness and meditation to improve psychological flexibility. The focus is to help patients better adapt to life’s challenges and to live a life that is more aligned with their values. There is strong evidence for ACT to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression and chronic pain.

  • CFT integrates elements from CBT, ACT, evolutionary psychology and Buddhist psychology. It promotes the development of emotional regulation skills to cultivate compassion for the self and others. CFT has strong support to reduce symptoms of shame, self-criticism and feelings of unworthiness that are often related to past experiences and relationships.

  • ERP is internationally recognized as the “gold standard” for treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). It involves teaching individuals the skills needed to confront the thoughts, images, objects and situations that make them feel anxious and/or trigger their obsessions.

  • CBT-I is considered the “gold standard” treatment for insomnia that can cooccur with or without other medial or mental health problems. It is a structured, short-term intervention developed to combat the thoughts, behaviors and habits that interfere with healthy sleeping.

  • CPT and PET are both considered the “gold standard” treatments for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and have similar effectiveness rates. PET utilizes imagined and real-life exposures to promote coping with trauma while CPT utilizes written narrative accounts of one’s trauma.
